This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee the gathering, organization, and analysis of educational assessment data (such as SAEB, state/municipal assessments, flow, and learning indicators).
• Create and sustain analytical models and forecasts of educational outcomes, connecting input, process, and outcome data.
• Guarantee the quality, consistency, and up-to-date nature of databases utilized by the organization and its partners.
• Aid in the design and development of interfaces and visualization dashboards to enhance data accessibility and comprehension for education secretariat managers.
• Collaborate closely with the technology team to establish integration requirements among various educational data sources and systems.
• Convert the needs of public-sector managers into functional specifications for new analytical features.
• Strategize and execute process and outcome evaluations of Motriz's programs.
• Generate studies, technical notes, and reports to guide internal and partner strategic decisions.
• Remain informed on academic literature and evidence in education policy, applying it within the organization's context.
• Deliver analyses and recommendations to secretariat leadership, the board, and funders in a clear, actionable format.
• Assist in preparing materials for strategic meetings, boards, and external events.
• Work in partnership with program teams to ensure effective data utilization in school management and policy development.
• Supervise analysts and/or interns within the monitoring and evaluation area.
• Establish routines and quality protocols for the production and validation of analyses.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, Education, Data Science, or related fields.
• Significant experience in educational data analysis, public policy evaluation, or applied research.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (such as Stata, R, Python, or SQL).
• Experience with educational microdata (Censo Escolar, INEP, SAEB, state assessments) is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to convert complex analyses into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Experience in designing or specifying dashboards and data interfaces (programming the tools is not necessary, but the ability to outline requirements for technical teams is).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in producing reports and presentations.
• A postgraduate degree (master's or PhD) in Economics, Education, or related fields is advantageous.
• Previous experience in non-profit organizations, education secretariats, or educational research institutions is an asset.
• Knowledge of impact evaluation methods (such as difference-in-differences, matching, regression discontinuity).
• Familiarity with the educational technology (EdTech) ecosystem and AI tools applied to education.
