
Mobile Vehicle Condition Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Perform on-site inspections of vehicle conditions for dealer clients within a designated area.
• Locate, start, maneuver, inspect, and safely return vehicles on dealer client lots.
• Confirm vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; accurately input data into systems.
• Assess and document the condition of both the exterior and interior of vehicles, including tires, frames, glass, panels, mechanical components, seating, dashboards, and installed options.
• Conduct basic mechanical evaluations across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical systems.
• Identify and record any damage, missing parts, or nonfunctional features.
• Establish trust with dealer clients and educate them on Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services.
• Actively engage with dealers to boost inspection volume and ensure ongoing participation.
• Utilize data, insights, and feedback from partners to enhance inspection efficiency and productivity in the territory.
• Adjust daily appointments and schedules to guarantee dealer coverage.
• Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports.
• Leverage Salesforce.com for reporting, lead management, and tracking customer performance.
• Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, colleagues, and other teams within Manheim.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement and Lean process enhancements.
• Meet production expectations while adhering to safety and health protocols.
• Participate in Safety Excellence initiatives and comply with Manheim's inspection standards, including the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy.
• At the senior level, conduct advanced inspections, mentor colleagues, assist with onboarding, and act as a subject matter expert.
• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory for Level 1.
• Level 2: A High School Diploma or GED along with 3+ years of experience in a related field, or an alternative combination of degree/certification beyond high school or 5 years of related experience.
• Level 2: 1–2 years of automotive-related experience is preferred.
• Senior Level: A High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of related experience, or a degree/certification beyond high school along with 3 years of experience, or 7 years of related experience.
• Senior Level: Previous experience in vehicle inspections is required.
• Senior Level: Strong knowledge of automotive systems (both body and mechanical) is essential.
• Senior Level: 2–3 years of automotive-related experience is highly preferred.
• Senior Level: 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections is recommended.
• Level 1: Basic automotive knowledge is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Must be capable of meeting the physical and mental demands of the role within the specified timeframes.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test; marijuana testing is not conducted for this position.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship is permitted now or in the future.
