This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of light construction machinery at Home Depot locations and client job sites.
• Conduct regular visits to stores for equipment inspections and to document the condition of units.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, minor repairs, inspections, and service calls as needed.
• Complete work orders and log labor and parts using the company's technology platform.
• Ensure accurate tracking of parts and fleet inventories.
• Manage the transfer and deployment of equipment between sites, including conducting pre-delivery inspections and store deliveries.
• Provide training to store associates and customers on the safe operation of equipment.
• Assist with the delivery and retrieval of equipment.
• Report directly to the Regional Field Operations Manager.
• Undertake additional tasks as directed by leadership.
• Candidate must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Should meet Department of Transportation medical certification standards.
• Must demonstrate specific visual capabilities, including near, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
• An Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience is necessary.
• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in servicing construction equipment, encompassing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical repairs.
• Familiarity with light construction equipment, small engines, and hydraulic systems is essential.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical repair and parts manuals related to mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other components.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Experience with inventory management is advantageous.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and handheld technology.
• Capable of working in extreme outdoor conditions and adapting to varying weather, traffic, and unforeseen situations.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching, and working at heights.
• Hold Mobile Elevated Work Platform certifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent customer service abilities.
