This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Establish and lead the QA automation strategy, enhancing framework quality, test coverage, and overall automation proficiency.
• Guide, mentor, and assist a team of QA engineers, offering both technical direction and hands-on involvement.
• Design, develop, and sustain scalable UI and end-to-end automation frameworks in TypeScript utilizing WebdriverIO and Playwright.
• Take ownership of mobile automation for both iOS and Android platforms using Appium and BrowserStack.
• Implement a risk-based testing strategy to make educated choices regarding test prioritization, coverage trade-offs, and release confidence.
• Develop a well-balanced testing pyramid that encompasses mobile, UI, API/service-level, and manual testing layers.
• Enhance and optimize the execution of automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee bug tracking, triage, and failure analysis, delivering clear reports on quality metrics and associated risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to enhance testability and incorporate QA best practices.
• Facilitate long-term growth into non-functional testing domains such as performance, load, and security.
• Over 6 years of experience in QA / Test Automation within production settings.
• Demonstrated experience in leading or mentoring QA engineers and directing automation efforts.
• Strong capability to define and advance automation strategies, rather than merely executing individual tests.
• Solid foundation in manual QA principles, including exploratory and regression testing.
• Practical experience in building or enhancing UI and end-to-end automation frameworks using tools like WebdriverIO, Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Experience with mobile testing and automation on iOS and/or Android in critical business environments.
• Strong grasp of risk-based testing and test pyramid concepts.
• Familiarity with API and service-level testing.
• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in defect management, failure analysis, and QA reporting.
• Expertise in TypeScript or JavaScript-based automation (TypeScript preferred); Python, Java, or Kotlin are also welcomed.
