Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance mobile applications utilizing React Native.

• Create reusable UI components and accompanying functionality using React.

• Take ownership of mobile features throughout the entire process, from development and testing to release.

• Diagnose and fix mobile crashes, bugs, and stability issues.

• Implement monitoring hooks, alerts, and various mechanisms to enhance the visibility and reliability of mobile applications.

• Connect mobile applications with backend services and REST APIs.

• Provide support for mobile functionalities such as leak-sensor and monitoring applications.

• Engage in mobile release activities, including testing, validation, and deployment.

• Identify and resolve issues across mobile application and API integration layers.

• Develop and maintain both automated and manual testing processes.

• Collaborate with engineers, Tech Leads, Architects, and product stakeholders.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance mobile performance, stability, and user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, particularly in mobile development.

• Extensive hands-on experience with React Native.

• Significant experience working with React.

• Proficiency in integrating mobile applications with REST APIs and backend services.

• Familiarity with mobile testing, debugging, and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Experience in supporting mobile application releases and deployment activities.

• Knowledge of mobile application performance, stability, and crash management techniques.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

• Ability to take initiative and deliver features independently.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed engineering team.

• Proficient English communication skills.

• Experience with mobile monitoring and observability tools (preferred).

• Familiarity with crash reporting and alerting platforms (preferred).

• Knowledge of iOS and Android release processes (preferred).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications (preferred).

• Background in sensor-based or IoT-related applications (preferred).

• Experience in backend development or full-stack engineering (preferred).

• Experience working with distributed or nearshore teams (preferred).
