This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Transform unclear inquiries regarding products and models into well-defined, actionable research strategies — encompassing discovery, concept validation, and experience assessment.
• Plan and execute comprehensive mixed-methods research throughout various AI product workflows.
• Investigate how Deaf individuals navigate communication in real-life situations using both moderated and unmoderated research techniques.
• Collaborate across teams to establish criteria for excellence — aiding in the creation of frameworks to evaluate interpretation quality and communication efficiency.
• Develop research methodologies and metrics that can be monitored over time; create ongoing reports that compile insights rather than conducting isolated studies.
• Identify behavioral indicators and instrumentation needs in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
• Uphold research practices that are respectful, transparent, and meaningful for participants.
• Present findings clearly through targeted deliverables that influence decision-making.
• Implement feedback mechanisms and tracking schedules for newly launched features; ensure that insights continuously guide product and model choices.
• 6–8+ years of hands-on research experience in product or technology settings.
• Extensive background in qualitative research (both moderated and unmoderated), survey design and analysis, along with fundamental behavioral or product analytics.
• Capability to utilize a variety of methods and select the appropriate approach for specific challenges.
• Experience in developing and managing product and experience metrics.
• Proficient in establishing lightweight measurement systems (tracking, dashboards, reports).
• Exceptional storytelling and communication abilities.
• Proficient in advanced conversational English.
• Inquisitive, collaborative, organized, and action-oriented.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working in early-stage environments.
• Focused on impact — prioritizing outcomes over mere output.
• Experience engaging with communities where trust and cultural sensitivity are paramount.
• Strong dedication to inclusive and ethical research methodologies.
• Proficiency in ASL (American Sign Language) is highly desirable but not mandatory; if not fluent, must exercise sound judgment when collaborating with interpreters and ensure full communication access in all research activities.
