Midstream Infrastructure Engineer

📋 Description

• Deliver services and support as a Midstream Infrastructure Engineer within Independent Engineering (IE) Advisory Services, focusing on Technical Due Diligence & Engineering Validation for the Downstream Oil & Gas, Midstream, and Pipelines sectors in the Energy Industry (Oil, Gas, Power, and Utilities) with an emphasis on RM | Risk Management Solutions for clients such as the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the DOE Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) Program.

• Offers Independent Engineering advisory assistance for the EDF Program's technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities, particularly concerning midstream gathering, processing, compression, storage, and transportation systems.

• Assesses project documentation, analyzes technical and commercial interfaces, identifies risks and mitigation strategies, validates assumptions, aids in conditions precedent and disbursement readiness reviews as needed, and produces defensible work products, including facility assessments, flow assurance evaluations, capacity checks, equipment reviews, and operational readiness reports.

• Collaborates with stakeholders from engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls to facilitate prompt decision-making by lenders and the DOE.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of pertinent experience in engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory; proven track record on oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, petroleum engineering, mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, environmental, or a related technical field. Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), API, NACE/AMPP, PMI, or discipline-specific certifications are preferred, where applicable.

• Skills primarily focused on Engineering Services initiatives aligned with Program Support activities related to Technical Due Diligence & Engineering Validation for Downstream Oil & Gas, Midstream, and Pipelines Functional Area Activities.

• Capabilities in independent engineering reviews, documentation discipline as per U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office (LPO) standards; technical due diligence; risk assessment; familiarity with midstream systems including gathering, processing, compression, storage, and transportation; data room evaluations; information request tracking; report writing; Excel-based analysis; stakeholder coordination; and proficient presentation of findings for credit, construction, monitoring, and certification decisions.
