This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver targeted course materials in a virtual setting
• Provide instruction, assistance, and guidance while overseeing the learning process
• Concentrate on the individual learning needs of students
• Track student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system
• Collaborate closely with students and parents/learning coaches to enhance learning towards set objectives
• Facilitate both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
• Customize learning and modify instruction based on student proficiency
• Enhance course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools
• Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion, and notify administrators of performance issues
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments
• Establish and nurture positive relationships with families
• Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents promptly
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting
• Travel as necessary for professional development, student assessments, and school events
• Georgia Secondary CTE Teaching Certificate
• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license
• Capability to pass required background checks
• Ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week
• Capacity to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during work hours
• Preferred experience working with the specified age group
• Preferred experience assisting adults and children with technology
• Preferred experience in online/virtual and/or traditional classroom settings
• Preferred experience with online learning platforms
• Ability to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data for instructional decisions
• Open to regular feedback from administrators and teacher trainers
• Ability to adapt to change to ensure optimal student outcomes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
• Capability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
• Ability to align with the school’s normal schedule, such as 9–5 or 8–4
