Mid-Level Software Test Engineer, QA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Strategize, design, and implement both manual and automated testing for applications, REST/SOAP APIs, and front-end components;

• Verify integration contracts, payloads, authentication, status codes, and error management;

• Assess visual components and functionalities, ensuring consistency in behavior, usability, accessibility, and compliance with established specifications;

• Develop and maintain regression scenarios, automated test suites, and quality evidence;

• Identify, document, and monitor defects in collaboration with development teams;

• Validate end-to-end processes across various systems, integrations, and platform components;

• Assist in test execution within CI/CD pipelines, enhancing quality in continuous delivery;

• Conduct thorough analyses of features, suggesting enhancements and pinpointing risks prior to customer releases;

• Promote a culture of quality within teams, endorsing QA best practices and processes;

• Engage actively in technical discussions, refinements, and validation of deliveries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in software testing, particularly with REST and/or SOAP APIs;

• Proficiency in testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or similar;

• Experience or knowledge in test automation;

• Understanding of data formats like JSON and XML;

• Familiarity with authentication methods (OAuth, tokens, certificates);

• Basic knowledge of SQL databases for data validation purposes;

• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines;

• Capability to analyze features independently, recognizing behaviors, risks, and opportunities for improvement even without the complete application flow;

• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical abilities;

• A proactive, investigative, and problem-solving oriented mindset.
