Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Engineer – Infrastructure/DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and oversee AWS GovCloud environments entirely utilizing AWS CDK (TypeScript).

• Implement compliance regulations (cdk-nag NIST packs) from the inception of the stack.

• Handle networking, compute, data storage, and secret management.

• Design GitHub Actions with affected-only builds and remote caching capabilities.

• Establish merge queues and test sharding practices.

• Uphold a stringent latency budget on PR gates to guarantee efficiency.

• Generate "Compliance as a build artifact" where pipeline gates correlate directly with NIST controls.

• Automate the creation of security-authorization evidence for governmental purposes.

• Oversee a dual-scan delivery pipeline for signed artifacts and provenance tracking.

• Execute CAC/ICAM-integrated identity management and mTLS.

• Create policy-as-code authorization and maintain continuous posture monitoring.

• Break down infrastructure challenges into precise specifications for AI agents to execute.

• Take ownership of all merged code, ensuring that agent outputs conform to production-grade standards.

• Troubleshoot inconsistencies throughout the stack, from application code to database schemas.

• Assist the application engineering team by enhancing their feedback loops.

⛳️ Requirements

• Clearance: Must qualify for a US Secret security clearance.

• 3+ years of experience demonstrating a clear upward trajectory in cloud-native roles.

• Agentic AI Proficiency: Practical experience with agentic AI development tools (Codex, Claude Code, or equivalent) on production codebases.

• Technical Stack:

• Extensive knowledge of TypeScript and AWS CDK.

• Solid software engineering experience in Node.js and PostgreSQL/Prisma.

• Familiarity with container orchestration (EKS/ECS).

• Compliance Knowledge: Established history of managing cloud infrastructure for products at DoD IL4 or similarly high-security environments.
