Mid-level Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• We are seeking a Mid-level Data Engineer to create and uphold data solutions, aiding in analysis, pipeline development, and the generation of strategic insights.

• You will engage with substantial data volumes, facilitating data-driven decision-making in a collaborative atmosphere that extensively utilizes modern technologies 🚀

• 🛠️ Responsibilities

• 📊 Assist in analyzing and interpreting complex data

• 🧩 Design and enhance data models (Star Schema, Snowflake, etc.)

• 🔄 Construct and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT)

• ⚙️ Collaborate with workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow

• 🐍 Create scripts in Python, SQL, and/or Scala

• ☁️ Manage data in Cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)

• 📈 Develop dashboards and data visualizations (Power BI or similar)

• 🧹 Conduct data cleaning, processing, and preparation

• 🚀 Enhance query and process performance

• 🤝 Partner with business and technology teams to grasp requirements

⛳️ Requirements

• ✅ Experience in data engineering or data analysis (mid-level)

• 🐍 Proficient in Python and SQL

• 🗄️ Understanding of data modeling and relational databases

• 🔄 Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes

• ☁️ Experience with cloud environments (AWS or Azure)

• 📊 Skilled in data visualization tools (Power BI or similar)

• 🔧 Basic to intermediate knowledge of Apache Spark

• 🔁 Experience with code versioning (Git)

• 📐 Understanding of statistics and data analysis

• ⚡ Acquainted with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

• ⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• 🤖 Knowledge of Machine Learning or predictive analytics

• 🧠 Experience with Databricks

• 🔄 Familiarity with Apache Airflow

• ⚙️ Knowledge of CI/CD and infrastructure as code (Terraform)

• 🧩 Experience with Big Data tools (Hadoop, advanced Spark)

• 📚 Background in data storytelling
