Mid Back-end Engineer, NodeJS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• You will develop backends and facilitate their interactions with various data stores and APIs, including those from third parties.

• You will operate in an agile environment, concentrating on projects that significantly impact our business.

• You will ensure the reliability of databases and APIs that support real-time automated decision-making.

• You will deploy your software using industry-standard tools such as Kubernetes clusters and Lambda functions.

• You will troubleshoot and resolve production issues by analyzing code, data, and system behavior, then propose and implement timely solutions to minimize user impact.

• You will prioritize security in all your tasks, consistently enhancing our defenses against external threats and vulnerabilities.

• You will develop comprehensive automated test suites to guarantee high quality and a low failure rate of delivered code.

• You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Senior Engineers, and Architects to grasp business processes, rules, and requirements, transforming them into high-quality code with automated tests for production deployment.

• You’ll have numerous opportunities to enhance your programming skills and gain insights into how technology businesses operate in the US, should you wish to do so.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of practical experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Should possess a solid understanding of at least one relational database system, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

• Must be able to participate in discussions and decisions related to software design and architecture.

• Should have experience in implementing the test pyramid, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Must be a team player and effective communicator, capable of expressing ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.

• Should demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership in delivering quality work.

• Must effectively apply good security practices.

• Should show eagerness to learn and broaden your skill set as needed for ongoing projects.

• Must have a good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Should be available in the afternoons; while we value personal time and work-life balance, occasional evening meetings may be necessary to facilitate smooth communication across time zones due to our multinational teams.
