Microsoft 365 Security Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain comprehensive security strategies utilizing Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps to safeguard organizational applications and oversee cloud-based activities.

• Set up, enhance, and manage Microsoft Purview solutions to facilitate effective data discovery, classification, and governance across both cloud and on-premises settings.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate security needs and integrate solutions that align business goals with regulatory requirements.

• Supervise the execution of identity and access management (IAM) policies, ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to sensitive systems and information.

• Continuously assess and improve security policies and procedures to combat emerging threats and maintain compliance with current industry standards.

• Partner with IT teams and business stakeholders to identify cloud risks, enforce security policies, and ensure adherence to regulations.

• Implement sophisticated security measures, including threat protection, data loss prevention, Insider Risk Management, Communication compliance, Information barriers, and information protection through Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps and Microsoft Purview.

• Utilize Data Security Posture Management to assess and enhance the security of sensitive data across various environments.

• Use Compliance Manager to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory standards and optimize the organization’s risk management processes.

• Perform regular security audits, create detailed reports, and analyze results to identify vulnerabilities and recommend strategic mitigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps and Microsoft Purview.

• At least 8+ years of professional experience in information security, cloud security, or similar positions.

• Experience in a global, multicultural environment, collaborating across different functions and time zones.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles, data protection strategies, and compliance frameworks is crucial.

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement security controls within Microsoft 365 environments.

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate or Information Protection Administrator Associate.
