This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze microbiome data including taxa abundances, diversity metrics, and functional genes to address key research questions.
• Create and sustain innovative microbiome metrics and biomarkers utilizing statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Perform statistical analyses on longitudinal clinical data.
• Develop data visualizations, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and for publication purposes.
• Compose research protocols, statistical analysis plans, and clinical study reports.
• Operate independently across various projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
• Assist in the creation of new product and study concepts.
• Contribute to scientific publications, proposals, and the sharing of internal knowledge.
• Master’s or PhD in a relevant field is preferred (e.g., data science, computational biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, microbiology).
• A minimum of 3 years of full-time, relevant experience post-Master's, or 0-1+ years of relevant experience with a PhD.
• Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
• Proficiency in R and/or Python; familiarity with SQL and large datasets is preferred.
• Experience in microbiome data analysis (e.g., 16S, shotgun metagenomics) is highly sought after.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-driven, organized, and capable of working independently in a remote-first setting.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment is preferred.
