Messaging & Streaming Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• We are seeking a seasoned engineer with hands-on experience in distributed systems derived from real-world production incidents, cluster tuning under load, and the creation of practical runbooks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in:

• Managing and operating distributed messaging platforms, such as RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka;

• Operational oversight of Apache Spark workloads, which includes deployments, scalability, and monitoring;

• Troubleshooting and supporting distributed infrastructures and critical data environments;

• Establishing governance, security, and continuous monitoring protocols for messaging and data platforms;

• Creating technical documentation, architectural designs, and operational procedures.

• Proven experience of at least 2 years in:

• AMQP, topics, queues, partitions, offsets, delivery guarantees, and message ordering;

• Configuring and tuning Kafka clusters and RabbitMQ environments in a production setting;

• DataOps methodologies and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python/Bash scripts);

• Advanced integrations between messaging platforms and data pipelines.

• Proven experience of a minimum of 1 year in:

• Operating and administering ingestion systems like Debezium or Apache NiFi;

• Utilizing Docker and Kubernetes for managing containerized environments;

• Holding a certification in messaging administration.
