Mentor – AI-supported Software Development, Working Student

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will mentor a dedicated group of participants, understanding their strengths, identifying their challenges, and actively guiding them throughout the course.

• You will showcase the effective use of modern tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT in daily development — covering everything from effective prompting to code generation and critically assessing AI outputs.

• Your mentoring will include 1:1 sessions that are personalized, tailored to each participant's current situation and challenges rather than following a predetermined script.

• You will provide honest and constructive feedback on submitted assignments, ensuring the development of genuine coding skills and the enhancement of existing abilities.

• You will document progress and the content of sessions to maintain a transparent learning path and ensure nothing is overlooked.

• You will contribute to shaping the curriculum by offering insights on our educational materials and assisting in their enhancement, particularly in areas where AI is rapidly evolving content beyond traditional curricula.

• You will be part of a dedicated education team, engaging in weekly discussions with other mentors and experts regarding participants and course content.

⛳️ Requirements

• You must be enrolled as a student for at least one additional year.

• You should have approximately 15–20 hours available per week.

• You are proficient in at least one modern programming language and can quickly adapt to new technologies.

• You are comfortable using Git & GitHub.

• You utilize AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar) in your coding workflow and can discern when they are beneficial — and when they are not.

• You are fluent in German.

• You are well-organized and thrive in independent work settings.
