Member of Technical Staff – Platform Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the infrastructure that enterprise legal teams rely on daily — encompassing networking, compute, storage, and deployment pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.

• Develop CI/CD pipelines that enable quick, secure, and seamless deployments (in the best possible way).

• Establish and uphold IaC standards utilizing Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent tools — transforming manual processes into repeatable and auditable systems.

• Provide clarity in a complex ecosystem: integrate logging and observability so engineers can comprehend, troubleshoot, and manage the platform confidently.

• Maintain cleanliness — ensuring environment isolation, network boundaries, and operational hygiene — allowing us to scale without incurring hidden risks.

• Enhance engineer productivity by minimizing toil, refining tooling, and developing internal platform capabilities that build upon themselves over time.

• Influence our development practices — contribute to the engineering culture and technical direction in a company where such decisions hold significant weight.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience serving as a technical lead on a team or within a specific vertical.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Background in platform engineering, internal developer platforms (IDPs), or developer tooling.

• Previous experience in regulated or enterprise-focused environments.

• Understanding of SRE practices, incident response, or on-call processes.

• Elevate the standards of backend engineering by leveraging TypeScript expertise and sound technical judgment.
