This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Assist the commissioning team during electrical and functional evaluations, start-ups, and equipment troubleshooting, which includes switchgear, motor contactors, disconnect switches, circuit breakers, panel boards, transformers, surge protection devices, battery banks, UPS systems, power cables, protective relays, and meters.
• Perform emergency troubleshooting and repairs on low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical power distribution systems.
• Carry out intricate service upgrades, reconditioning, and retrofitting for low-voltage power distribution products and systems.
• Offer expert guidance, training, and technical support to staff and newly hired employees.
• Utilize electrical testing equipment for AC/DC high-potential testing, transformer turns-ratio testing, power-factor testing, primary current injection, resistance testing, and thermal imaging.
• Ensure adherence to safe work practices in low-, medium-, and high-voltage substations, following Arc Flash and Shock Hazards safety protocols.
• Foster a culture of confidentiality and safety.
• Manage and maintain medium- and high-voltage systems.
• Commission, test, and safely energize new medium- and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Conduct DOBLE DGA sampling and HIPOT testing.
• Perform maintenance and testing on high-voltage systems.
• Electrical Technology Diploma, Journeyman Electrician, NCCER certification (or equivalent), or NETA certification.
• Experience with NETA.
• Electrical Contractor licenses are advantageous.
• Strong understanding of control and protection systems.
• Capacity to interpret drawings and electrical studies.
• Background in electrical engineering, design, and construction processes.
• Proficient in Hexagon Smart Completions.
• Ability to generate detailed technical reports.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Over 10 years of commissioning / medium voltage experience.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must successfully pass a drug and alcohol screening.
• Certifications in First Aid/CPR, OSHA 10, GHS, Defensive Driving, and H2S Awareness.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.
• Willingness to travel across the US as required.
• Three recent references related to commissioning or turnaround work on operational facilities.
