Medical Science Liaison – Sr. MSL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the regional medical strategy and plan KOL engagement, ensuring coherence with global and regional goals.

• Interact with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders to convey complex scientific and clinical information accurately, fairly, and balanced.

• Establish and sustain robust relationships with premier academic institutions, societies, and oncology networks.

• Assist in the creation of French-language medical communications and scientific materials specifically for Quebec.

• Work closely with Quebec sales representatives to ensure alignment in medical and scientific initiatives in the field.

• Serve as a liaison with Health Canada and INESSS regarding pertinent medical and scientific issues.

• Organize and engage in advisory board meetings, investigator-initiated studies, and various medical engagement initiatives.

• Create and present medical education programs and training sessions for both internal field teams and external stakeholders.

• Offer medical and scientific assistance to cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Business Development.

• Track and analyze emerging clinical data, therapeutic trends, and competitor activities to guide medical strategy.

• Represent the organization at national and international congresses, symposia, and other professional gatherings; summarize key insights and report field intelligence.

• Ensure that all communications and interactions adhere to regulatory standards and company policies.

• Contribute to scientific publications, abstracts, and presentations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or healthcare field (MSc, PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent).

• At least 5 years of experience in oncology within medical affairs or as a Medical Science Liaison.

• Demonstrated ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.

• Experience in supporting clinical studies and investigator-initiated research initiatives.

• Comprehensive understanding of Canadian regulatory and compliance standards.

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills in both English and French (bilingual proficiency required).

• Capacity to interpret and effectively communicate intricate clinical and scientific data.

• Strong organizational and project management abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and CRM tools.

• Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable, with the capability to independently manage multiple priorities.
