This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Create and execute a scientific engagement strategy that aligns with the Medical Affairs objectives and overall goals.
• Build and nurture relationships with community and academic thought leaders/KOLs.
• Facilitate high-quality, interactive scientific discussions with healthcare professionals.
• Gather, integrate, and utilize clinical, scientific, competitive, and regional information.
• Offer product support and educational training during clinical procedures.
• Leverage AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes.
• Present relevant scientific information through discussions and presentations.
• Recognize unmet needs and collaboratively propose evidence-based solutions or educational programs.
• Provide timely, high-quality actionable insights to guide medical strategy.
• Address unsolicited inquiries regarding Johnson & Johnson products and research.
• Assist investigators and internal stakeholders with company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D, U.S. and Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, MSL field partners, Sales, and Marketing teams.
• Maintain scientific knowledge through self-study, journal clubs, seminars, conferences, and peer discussions.
• Promote inclusion and a sense of belonging both internally and externally.
• Uphold competence in regulatory, healthcare compliance, ethical standards, and Medical Affairs policies.
• Develop and execute a performance and development plan in conjunction with the Field Director.
• Accurately and compliantly complete administrative documentation and expense reporting.
• A doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience is required, including PharmD, PhD, MD, or Advanced Practice Provider qualification.
• Extensive scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge is necessary.
• Knowledge of research and/or healthcare systems is required.
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis is essential.
• Clinical expertise and problem-solving capabilities are crucial.
• Strong interpersonal influence and skills in cross-functional collaboration are needed.
• Ability to think strategically and analyze the competitive landscape is important.
• Willingness to support a territory with up to 70% travel is necessary.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred, ideally in an MSL role.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a therapeutic area is preferred.
• Residency/fellowship experience is preferred.
• Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred.
• A commitment to learning and applying emerging technologies, such as AI, is essential.
