Medical Facility Surveyor – Acute and Continuing Care Programs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct evaluations of hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, rural health clinics, critical access hospitals, and home health and hospice facilities.

• Perform assessments in alignment with the State Operations Manual (SOM).

• Generate deficiency reports in accordance with the Principles of Documentation (PoD) and the HMS Master Writing Guide.

• Relay survey results via the established Quality Assurance process.

• Recognize opportunities for enhancing the survey process.

• Convey improvement suggestions to relevant leadership personnel.

• Accept survey assignments as required and as directed by CMS and HMS.

• Engage in extensive travel for survey assignments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in completing CMS surveys is essential.

• Completion of required CMS training for specific provider types.

• Strong critical thinking abilities and proficient decision-making skills.

• Capability to execute all tasks mandated by the facility.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• A valid RN License is mandatory.

• Significant travel is required.

• Relocation is not necessary.
