
Medical Facility Surveyor β Acute and Continuing Care Programs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
β’ Conduct evaluations of hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, rural health clinics, critical access hospitals, and home health and hospice facilities.
β’ Perform assessments in alignment with the State Operations Manual (SOM).
β’ Generate deficiency reports in accordance with the Principles of Documentation (PoD) and the HMS Master Writing Guide.
β’ Relay survey results via the established Quality Assurance process.
β’ Recognize opportunities for enhancing the survey process.
β’ Convey improvement suggestions to relevant leadership personnel.
β’ Accept survey assignments as required and as directed by CMS and HMS.
β’ Engage in extensive travel for survey assignments.
β’ Previous experience in completing CMS surveys is essential.
β’ Completion of required CMS training for specific provider types.
β’ Strong critical thinking abilities and proficient decision-making skills.
β’ Capability to execute all tasks mandated by the facility.
β’ Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
β’ A valid RN License is mandatory.
β’ Significant travel is required.
β’ Relocation is not necessary.
