Medical Equipment Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess client needs regarding medical equipment to cater to the requirements of all facility areas.

• Create documentation for equipment planning.

• Conduct interviews and meetings with clients/users to enhance and adjust equipment planning documents.

• Supply project-specific medical equipment details to the design team.

• Evaluate the master plan, space program, and/or schematic design documents to identify medical equipment needs.

• Sustain the equipment planning database and resource library.

• Formulate equipment specifications for contractor-supplied medical equipment.

• Examine shop drawings for medical equipment provided by contractors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS/BA degree or equivalent with a technical focus (engineering, electronics, nursing, physics) is preferred.

• Significant prior experience with medical equipment in a healthcare environment is mandatory.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in one of the following areas: Nursing (hospital environment), Biomedical/Clinical Engineering, or Medical Equipment Planning.

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in medical equipment planning is required.

• Previous involvement in the architectural design process is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications is preferred.

• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is a plus.
