Medical Director – Pediatric Otolaryngology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• You will begin your training in a well-structured remote environment with guidance from trainers, mentors, and leadership to ensure your success.

• Perform time-sensitive, specialized evidence-based medical case reviews for medical necessity using EviCore’s case management software.

• Engage in physician consultation (peer-to-peer) calls with referring providers to discuss evidence-based medical necessity and the appropriateness of the requested services or treatments.

• Utilize your clinical knowledge to suggest alternative services or treatments when necessary.

• Collaborate with over 500 EviCore physician colleagues to help guarantee that patients receive appropriate care through evidence-based decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with a current, active U.S. medical license and board certification (ABMS or AOA) in Otolaryngology, specifically in the subspecialty of Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology.

• Must be eligible to obtain additional state licensure as required.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience after residency or fellowship.

• Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws, as well as standards from the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission and the National Committee for Quality Assurance, is advantageous.

• Ability to commit to a designated weekly work schedule (Monday through Friday).

• Strong computer proficiency: capable of working independently with automated processes, computer applications, and systems.

• Must meet the physical demands of the role, including, but not limited to, typing, speaking, and listening for 100% of the time.
