Medical Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee workflows related to medication-assisted treatment (MAT), encompassing medication refills, fulfillment coordination, adherence support, and outreach to members regarding medication.

• Manage prior authorization processes for prescribed medications, which includes preparing submissions, monitoring their status, assisting with appeals, and ensuring prompt resolution.

• Engage directly with members, providers, pharmacies, and internal care teams to facilitate timely access to medications and ensure a smooth care experience.

• Assist providers with medication management tasks throughout the treatment journeys of members.

• Collaborate with counselors and other members of the care team to coordinate care, address member concerns, and foster positive treatment results.

• Work together with clinical, product, and operations teams to develop and enhance scalable workflows for medication management.

• Maintain precise documentation and complete medication-related tasks in accordance with clinical protocols and organizational standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current Medical Assistant (MA) certification or comparable experience, as mandated by state regulations.

• Background in prior authorizations, medication coordination, care coordination, or clinical operations.

• Knowledge of substance use disorder (SUD), behavioral health, or addiction medicine, or a strong desire to gain expertise in these fields.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Superior written and verbal communication abilities and a talent for collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.

• Self-driven and comfortable working autonomously in a remote-first setting.

• Previous experience in remote work and collaboration with distributed teams is advantageous but not mandatory.
