Media Relations Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Provide assistance to Oxfam America’s Media and Brand & Engagement teams, focusing on monitoring, evaluation, and analysis.

• Utilize MuckRack, Google News, Meltwater, and various other media monitoring platforms to collect, document, categorize, and distribute Oxfam America media clips.

• Prepare drafts for quarterly and annual media clip reports; additionally, create issue-specific clip reports as needed.

• Maintain a comprehensive media tracker file that includes all media clips.

• Collaborate with the Media Relations Director to draft and distribute a weekly report on media clips.

• Monitor and report on team objectives and key performance indicators on a quarterly basis.

• Provide insights regarding the media landscape and Oxfam’s involvement within it.

• Oversee the media team’s contributions to the division-wide quarterly dashboard project.

• As necessary, distribute press releases, media advisories, and other materials to media representatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.

• One to three years of applicable experience in communications and/or media relations, or in an administrative/coordinator capacity.

• Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel.

• Interest and background in media or social media.

• Proven ability to follow through on tasks; to prioritize effectively; and to engage in problem-solving.

• High level of accuracy and keen attention to detail.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational abilities and the capability to prioritize work efficiently.

• Ability to collaborate with a team that operates across multiple locations.
