Master Data Developer, Amazon Neptune

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create graph schemas utilizing node labels and edge types to represent designers, garments, style attributes, trends, occasions, and editorial articles.

• Develop batch workflows for importing structured JSON payloads into Amazon Neptune.

• Execute probabilistic entity matching through attribute-overlap scoring and established confidence thresholds.

• Remove duplicate items that appear inconsistently across various articles.

• Assign weights to editorial relationships based on the significance of item or trend mentions.

• Design and refine openCypher traversal queries, including multi-hop queries, ensuring results are returned in under three seconds for Amazon Bedrock Agents.

• Collaborate with Machine Learning and GenAI Agent Developers to align graph structures with the retrieval and recommendation requirements of AI agents.

• Assist in conducting technical interviews and validating new members of the graph-workstream team as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English (C1 or higher), with the ability to communicate independently with international stakeholders.

• Extensive experience with Amazon Neptune and the property graph data model.

• Proven track record in writing and optimizing openCypher queries, including multi-hop traversals while adhering to latency constraints.

• Skilled in designing graph schemas and assessing trade-offs among various modeling approaches.

• Background in developing entity resolution logic, including fuzzy matching, scoring algorithms, and deduplication across data sources.

• Strong Python programming skills for data engineering and batch processing of structured data payloads.

• Capability to work autonomously in a dynamic, staff augmentation environment alongside an established client team.

• Previous experience in fashion, retail, or e-commerce catalogs is a plus.

• AWS certification in databases or data analytics is desirable.

• Familiarity with integrating graph databases with generative AI agents, such as Amazon Bedrock Agents, is advantageous.

• Understanding of recommendation systems or ranking/weighting logic for content discovery is beneficial.
