Marshallese Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage incoming calls as needed, facilitating communication between speakers of Marshallese and English.

• Eliminate communication barriers across various industries.

• Quickly process information with precision while recognizing important cultural nuances.

• Uphold a professional attitude throughout the interpretation sessions.

• Maintain composure during interpreting sessions, particularly in urgent situations.

• Adhere to client directives in accordance with established protocols to meet client expectations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both Marshallese and English, with a strong understanding of the relevant cultural contexts.

• Capable of providing cultural insight and evaluating regional and accent variations to effectively communicate with Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals.

• Strong listening, retention, and note-taking abilities to ensure a high degree of accuracy during interpretation.

• Ability to focus, maintain neutrality, and remain objective at all times, even during discussions of sensitive topics.

• Preferred educational background or work experience in language-related areas such as teaching, language assessment, translation, or interpretation.

• Must be adaptable to any technology advancements in Language Line Services that enhance service delivery and fulfill client needs.

• Minimum age of 18 years required.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
