This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Conduct investigations and process adjustments for marine claims on behalf of clients.
• Manage intricate losses independently up to $50,000.
• Provide assistance to the department with larger claims.
• Examine the causes and scope of damages.
• Gather necessary documentation and issue settlements accordingly.
• Receive and assess new claims while ensuring data accuracy within the claims system.
• Analyze survey reports and insurance policies to ascertain coverage.
• Draft settlement documents and request payments for claims and expenses.
• Contribute to the preparation of loss experience reports to inform profitability assessments.
• Calculate appropriate future rates.
• Support the organization’s quality assurance initiatives.
• Travel as necessary.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• A valid state adjuster license is mandatory.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Effective organizational skills.

• Ability to lift/carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to drive for up to 4 hours each day.
