This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Spearhead the design and implementation of data science initiatives and impactful analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to comprehend business challenges and formulate data-driven strategies.
• Supervise data acquisition and integration, ensuring the integrity and dependability of data.
• Employ and enhance machine learning and predictive modeling techniques to address intricate business issues.
• Direct the deployment and integration of predictive models into business applications.
• Create strategies for optimizing and monitoring model performance over time.
• Present insights and recommendations to executives, transforming complex data concepts into actionable business strategies.
• Mentor and assist junior and senior team members in data science methodologies and best practices.
• Shape data governance and organizational best practices.
• Define and lead analysis objectives with client stakeholders, translating them into actionable outcomes.
• Offer strategic leadership on data science projects.
• Oversee architecture and pipeline designs for reproducible and traceable AI solutions.
• Over 3 years of experience leading teams in the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance AI/ML solutions, preferably in sensitive environments.
• Proven experience in leading Agile AI/ML teams, including AI incubators.
• Strong background in leading data science teams and mentoring junior data scientists.
• Experience in developing and deploying Generative AI applications within high-security settings.
• More than 9 years of experience in predictive analytics utilizing languages such as Python or Scala.
• Over 9 years of experience applying clustering analysis, anomaly detection, tree-based models, ensemble methods, and neural networks.
• Experience in tracking model performance throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with AI/ML pipeline management and tracking tools, including MLFlow and DataBricks.
• Proficient with relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficient with Big Data platforms, including Hadoop and Spark.
• Experience in querying data from various source systems.
• Proficient in employing natural language processing techniques, including Generative AI.
• Exceptional communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
• Ability to manage tasks and effectively estimate time requirements.
• Continuous learning mindset and keen interest in emerging data science technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) and its capabilities is preferred.
• Experience working within an Agile Scrum framework.
