Manager – SALT & Indirect Tax Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Vice President-Tax to oversee the compliance calendar for state and local income taxes.

• Evaluate state and local income tax returns, indirect tax returns, estimated tax payments, and extensions prepared by both in-house teams and the Company’s external accounting firm.

• Guarantee the prompt and precise submission and payment of all state and local income tax filings.

• Support the Director-Tax with tax controversy issues, including responding to notices from state and local tax authorities.

• Offer guidance on various indirect tax topics, such as sales and use taxes, live entertainment taxes, hotel occupancy taxes, and information reporting.

• Examine the tax provisions in legal agreements and vendor contracts to identify possible tax concerns.

• Keep abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, administrative guidance, and judicial interpretations, evaluating their implications for the Company.

• Assist the Director-Tax with special research projects, including investigating federal, state, and local tax matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in taxation or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in public accounting or corporate tax.

• Ability to apply strong tax research and project management capabilities.

• Master’s Degree in taxation or a related field – Preferred.

• More than 2 years of relevant leadership experience.

• Experience with CorpTax, Oracle EPM/ERP/ARCS – Preferred.

• Background in the gaming, hospitality, or entertainment industries - Preferred.
