This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team dedicated to making Lumin the premier platform for community financial institutions (CFIs).
• Develop strategy, guide, and expand a team of developers.
• Design end-to-end (E2E) and API testing architecture.
• Collaborate with developers to enhance their understanding of testing methodologies.
• Deliver presentations to fellow managers.
• Define and implement a roadmap that positions Lumin’s quality engineering as an industry leader.
• Mentor a group of Quality Engineering (QE) engineers, cultivating a culture of quality, accountability, and continual improvement.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the QE roadmap, encompassing test automation strategies, tools, and coverage standards across the platform.
• Partner with development teams to integrate QE practices into sprint ceremonies.
• Oversee the reliability of end-to-end (E2E) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Work alongside Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps teams to establish and maintain CI/CD integrations for automated testing.
• Set metrics and reporting to highlight quality trends proactively.
• Manage QE capacity, recruitment, and performance evaluation.
• Advocate for a shift-left approach to quality assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or 5 years of equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in software quality engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Strong expertise in test automation frameworks and E2E testing strategies for web applications.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or comparable) and integrating automated tests into build processes.
• Solid knowledge of contemporary web technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments characterized by short sprint cycles.
• Demonstrated ability to build, nurture, and retain high-performing QE teams.
• Excellent communication skills and adept at conducting whiteboard sessions with engineers.
• Familiarity with the AI developer tooling landscape.
