This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead teams in Machine Learning Engineering to develop and enhance machine learning infrastructure and solutions that impact millions of employees.
• Construct and advance AI platforms that are scalable across various products, domains, and teams.
• Take ownership of comprehensive ML tooling and automation, encompassing infrastructure, data pipelines, model deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Work collaboratively with data science and engineering teams to promote the adoption of MLE best practices.
• Contribute to the development of formal training programs and materials aimed at MLE tool adoption.
• Partner with Product & Technology teams, including Data Engineering, Cloud Center of Excellence, Platform teams, and the Architecture Review Board.
• Influence business strategy by utilizing data and metrics, presenting recommendations and insights to senior leadership.
• Mentor, coach, and foster development within teams.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring they align with company objectives, optimize resources, and are delivered on time.
• Establish best practices for scalable and reproducible machine learning development, deployment, and governance.
• Evaluate team outcomes, processes, and quality to drive enhancements.
• Keep the team updated on the latest AI and ML technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on AI/ML experience in software companies.
• At least 2 years of experience in managing and leading data teams.
• Proven success in coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.
• Experience in writing production-grade machine learning infrastructure and/or models using Python.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, including Glue, EMR, and Lambda.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Knowledge of cloud-based source code management, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and software development best practices.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Capability to lead high-performing teams and drive business results.
• Skill in translating business challenges into data/ML problems.
• Proficiency in communicating results to non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
• Strong curiosity and a desire to learn.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• An advanced degree in machine learning engineering, computer science, engineering, data science, statistics, mathematics, or another quantitative field is preferred.
• Professional or academic experience in HR, social science, or psychology is preferred.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours per day.
• Ability to operate computers and phone systems, type, and use multiple software programs simultaneously.
• Must be available five days a week during designated work hours.
