This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee, mentor, and guide Operations Analysts and Specialists.
• Conduct performance evaluations and assist in career progression.
• Ensure timely and precise invoicing, cash applications, and processing of agent commissions.
• Monitor aging reports, resolve billing issues, and manage reporting across various systems.
• Supervise bank account activities, reconciliations, and resolution of cash transaction discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and Compliance on surplus lines reporting and tax submissions.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and guarantee timely, accurate submissions.
• Plan resources, monitor team productivity, and manage daily operational processes.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and scalability.
• Analyze operational data to uncover trends, generate insights, and present findings to leadership.
• Work alongside Product, Support, Collections, and other internal teams to address client concerns and enhance operational systems.
• Coordinate audit support and ensure accurate documentation is maintained.
• Lead or assist in the implementation of new tools, systems, or workflows.
• Evaluate staffing requirements and modify resources to align with business needs.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance within the team.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a department or team in an office setting.
• A minimum of 5 additional years of relevant experience in operations, finance, or insurance.
• Demonstrated capability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel formulas and pivot tables, as well as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong technical reporting abilities and the capacity to analyze and synthesize data from multiple systems.
• Experience in conducting root cause analysis and delivering actionable insights.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to clearly articulate complex issues and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with Surplus Lines insurance products.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of surplus lines insurance, regulatory mandates, and operational workflows including invoicing, claims, and compliance reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable, cash flow management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and convert insights into actionable strategies.
• Skilled in recognizing inefficiencies, implementing scalable solutions, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Comfortable managing shifting priorities and taking initiative in uncertain or changing circumstances.
