This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
• Oversee a team that conducts financial and compliance analyses for organizational leaders throughout WVU Medicine.
• Educate staff and uphold standards for generating and assembling reports that aid decision-making for outpatient services.
• Enhance and sustain staff development and orientation programs for the provider-based team.
• Offer leadership and guidance to professional staff while fostering interdepartmental communication.
• Develop and maintain best-practice toolkits, documents, and resources related to provider-based clinic compliance, finance, reporting, legal, and billing frameworks.
• Assess new provider-based clinic locations and assist in their establishment.
• Provide counsel to stakeholders regarding CMS provider-based compliance in accordance with 42 CFR 413.65 and inform leadership of regulatory updates.
• Analyze and interpret legislation that impacts provider-based billing.
• Act as the department’s primary contact and convert business concepts into actionable strategies.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses regarding the impact of clinic reimbursement across hospitals within the health system.
• Supervise standard Epic designations related to provider-based billing.
• Engage in business meetings with clinical leadership, which include reporting packages, ongoing support, and project tracking.
• Participate in or lead cross-functional workgroups as suggested by the Provider Based Steering Committee.
• Assist in identifying, resolving, and designing solutions for business challenges.
• Address and resolve concerns raised by department leadership, IT, clinical departments, and support staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in finance or accounting.
• At least one (1) year of experience with CMS provider-based and/or RHC regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Prior experience in managing a team of professionals is preferred.
