Manager, Data Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Your first day will commence with a warm welcome and a thorough technical onboarding experience!

• The initial 30 days will be dedicated to familiarizing yourself with HackerOne. You'll join your new team and start the onboarding process, learning about our technology stack (Python, Airflow, Snowflake, DBT, Meltano, Fivetran, Looker, AWS), and getting to know our Hackeronies.

• Within 60 days, you will make a significant impact at the company by consistently contributing to high-impact, high-performance, and scalable source of truth data marts and data products.

• By the 90-day mark, you will be at the forefront of the ongoing evolution and innovation of data at HackerOne, identifying and leading new initiatives. Additionally, you will promote collaboration across departments to enhance these efforts.

• After 90 days, you will continue to deliver impact by developing a roadmap for the iterative launch of high-impact, high-performance, and scalable source of truth data marts and data products, while leading and delivering cross-functional product and technical initiatives.

• Serve as a technical exemplar and cross-functional force multiplier, autonomously focusing your efforts, contributing at all levels, uplifting your squad, and crafting solutions to complex business challenges in a dynamic early-stage environment.

• Propel continuous evolution and innovation, embrace emerging technologies, and implement industry best practices.

• Advocate for enhanced discoverability, usability, reliability, timeliness, consistency, validity, uniqueness, simplicity, completeness, integrity, security, and compliance of information and insights throughout the company.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and development.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer, or a similar role with a proven track record of launching source of truth data marts, including at least 3+ years in a leadership capacity.

• 8+ years of experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, products, and solutions.

• Extensive experience with a variety of data technologies and tools such as Airflow, Snowflake, Meltano, Fivetran, DBT, and AWS.

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation in a fast-paced work setting.

• Strong proficiency in crafting compelling data narratives using data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, Sigma, Domo, or PowerBI.

• A demonstrated history of making a significant impact both within the company and externally, showcasing your ability to drive positive change and achieve remarkable results.
