Manager, Data Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing data engineering team, promoting a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement in the development and delivery of data pipelines.

• Design, implement, and sustain scalable and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines across both cloud and legacy systems.

• Create robust data models by employing best practices such as the medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) to structure raw, refined, and curated data for reliable analytics.

• Optimize data workflows and structures to support analytical, operational, and self-service use cases with a focus on high performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Ensure seamless data integration into and out of enterprise data platforms, guaranteeing timely, accurate, and secure data availability for reporting, analytics, and other data requirements.

• Promote the adoption of best practices in data engineering design and coding standards to deliver scalable, maintainable, and reusable solutions that align with architectural principles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field - Required

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field - Preferred

• 4 years of relevant work experience managing or leading system implementations and/or data engineering teams or cross-functional teams - Required

• 3 years of hands-on development experience with modern cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Google, etc.) - Required

• 7 years of hands-on data engineering experience with ELT/ETL, pipelines, modeling, warehousing, etc. - Required

• 3 years of advanced experience with SQL & Python - Required

• 3 years of experience modeling data for BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, BOE) utilizing medallion architecture - Preferred

• 3 years of experience with Epic Cogito data platforms and reporting tools - Preferred

• 3 years of experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile delivery methodologies - Preferred
