• Oversee and guide a global team of DevOps engineers specializing in AI platforms.
• Facilitate coordination of deliverables with technical leadership based in the US, across various time zones.
• Take ownership of sprint planning, delivery schedules, and progress tracking.
• Maintain technical excellence through code reviews, architectural discussions, and adherence to engineering standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Principal Architect and AI/ML Engineering Lead on defining technical strategy.
• Eliminate obstacles, manage inter-team dependencies, and ensure effective collaboration.
• Recruit, retain, and inspire top talent within the team by cultivating a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
• Establish a long-term strategic roadmap and oversee release planning and execution.
• Minimum of 4 years of Agile team management experience as an Engineering Manager, coupled with over 10 years of engineering experience.
• Experience in developing enterprise AI platform infrastructure, ideally in both leadership and contributor capacities.
• Capability to support and mentor both individual contributors and teams.
• Strong functional understanding of enterprise SaaS solutions.
• Proven experience in building scalable, cost-efficient, and secure AI/ML platforms with an emphasis on resilience, automation, and observability.
• Proficiency in the deployment and lifecycle management of LLM & Embedding Models (such as OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker) and Vector Databases like LanceDB.
• Familiarity with evaluating new products and technologies including RAG, MCP servers, AI Agents, Agentic Workflows, LangChain, etc.
• Experience managing AWS core & AI/GenAI services (S3, IAM, EKS, Bedrock, etc.), as well as Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• A dynamic leader who excels in fast-paced environments, motivates teams, and champions innovation.
• Experience overseeing distributed teams across time zones, with a preference for US-India coordination.
• Excellent communication skills across different geographical regions.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
