This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Lead and manage a team of approximately 15–20 Staff Accountants tasked with balance sheet reconciliations across various hospitals.
• Ensure the timely and precise completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including account substantiation, aging, and resolution of reconciling items.
• Review intricate account reconciliations and offer technical guidance.
• Oversee team productivity, quality, and month-end close deliverables through reporting and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Site Liaisons, hospital CFOs, Technical Accounting, and cross-functional teams.
• Spearhead process improvement initiatives aimed at standardization, automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze general ledger activity, journal entries, and subledger transactions to resolve discrepancies in reconciliations.
• Utilize Oracle ERP, Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud, OTBI reporting, Excel, and other technological solutions.
• Advocate for AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows and boost team efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, company accounting policies, and healthcare regulatory standards.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and mentor team members.
• Support department initiatives, organizational transformation efforts, and special projects.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Over 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Previous experience in leading or managing accounting teams is essential.
• Strong expertise in balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end close activities.
• Experience in a shared services or centralized accounting environment is preferred.
• Proven track record of leading process improvement, standardization, or automation projects.
• Proficiency in Oracle ERP is required.
• Experience with Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud (ARC) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with OTBI, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms is preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large datasets.
• Capability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
• Comfort with leveraging AI and emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced month-end close environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
