Malay Translation & Localization Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Providing high-quality translations for written materials, including new releases, marketing content, support knowledge base articles, and other customer-facing documents.

• Demonstrating adaptability and a proactive attitude when faced with last-minute changes to source materials.

• Exhibiting strong organizational abilities to effectively handle both short-term and long-term projects while adjusting workflow priorities as necessary.

• Possessing excellent communication skills within a highly collaborative team-oriented work environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or an equivalent degree, with a preference for emphasis in translation, localization, linguistics, or game design.

• Native-level proficiency in Malay, accompanied by outstanding grammar skills.

• Exceptional written and spoken English communication abilities.

• Relevant experience in gaming to ensure accurate translation of content within a gaming context.

• Prior experience in professional translation/localization work, particularly in games and technical translation, is preferred.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• A team-oriented translator who thrives in collaborative environments and adapts well to fast-paced turnaround demands.

• Familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools such as Crowdin, MemoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados, or Wordfast.

• Comprehensive understanding of various Operating Systems, including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and SharePoint.
