Machine Learning Scientist, Multimodal AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and assess deep learning models across various biomedical data types.

• Develop multimodal AI frameworks that integrate H&E whole-slide imaging data with molecular and clinical data sources.

• Construct scalable, production-ready machine learning workflows and pipelines utilizing cloud infrastructure (AWS).

• Employ contemporary machine learning techniques, including CNNs, vision transformers (ViTs), sequence transformers, representation learning, and fine-tuning of foundation models.

• Collaborate with both technical and clinical teams to convert ML prototypes into validated tools.

• Analyze model outputs to derive reproducible biological and clinical insights.

• Thoroughly document workflows and communicate data-driven findings to stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline with a focus on ML or AI.

• Core experience in developing ML models for biomedical applications, particularly in medical imaging, computational pathology, genomics, transcriptomics, multi-omics, or molecular diagnostics.

• Proficient in PyTorch and possess strong production-level programming skills in Python.

• Practical experience with deep learning architectures such as CNNs, transformers, attention mechanisms, and representation learning.

• Experience in managing datasets and training workflows within distributed or cloud computing environments (AWS).

• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of research projects and convert prototypes into robust, deployment-ready workflows.

• Experience in adapting pre-trained foundation models for subsequent biomedical applications.
