Machine Learning Engineer – Personalization, Horizon

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, assess, and launch agentic-based features and interactive experiences to elevate our products.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including user research, design, data science, product management, and engineering, to create new product features that enhance our mission of connecting artists and fans in personalized and meaningful ways.

• Prototype innovative approaches and scale production solutions for our hundreds of millions of active users.

• Advocate for and exemplify best practices in ML systems development, testing, evaluation, and more, both within the team and across the organization.

• Contribute actively to a vibrant community of machine learning practitioners at Spotify.

⛳️ Requirements

• A seasoned ML practitioner eager to tackle complex real-world challenges in a dynamic and collaborative setting.

• Strong foundation in machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI, with a proven track record of applying theory to create real-world applications.

• Practical experience in implementing end-to-end production ML systems at scale; familiarity with production LLM scale systems is advantageous.

• Proven experience in leveraging human feedback to enhance LLM-based systems using techniques such as DPO, KTO, and reinforcement fine-tuning.

• Proficient in designing comprehensive tech specifications and modular architectures for ML frameworks in complex problem domains in collaboration with product teams.

• Experienced with large-scale, distributed data processing frameworks/tools such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, and cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.
