This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and implement machine learning models for research and product innovation projects.

• Work collaboratively with scientists, engineers, and product teams to convert biological and clinical needs into scalable ML solutions.

• Assist in experimental design and analysis, encompassing ideation, documentation, and reporting.

• Engage in design reviews, journal clubs, ML best-practice initiatives, knowledge sharing, and governance activities.

• Enhance ML pipelines and infrastructure in collaboration with MLOps and platform teams.

• Publish and present scientific findings, including abstracts, manuscripts, and contributions to conferences.

• Deliver projects independently, refine processes, and guide junior engineers at the MLE II level.

• Spearhead initiatives from start to finish, establish technical direction, and pinpoint opportunities with significant business and scientific impact at the MLE III level.


⛳️ Requirements

• MLE II: Master’s degree with 2–4 years of experience, or Ph.D. with 0–2 years of experience.

• MLE III: Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying machine learning models for production or research applications.

• Strong expertise in Python, ML frameworks, and data pipeline development.

• Capable of working independently on projects, contributing to experimental design, and enhancing ML workflows.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across scientific and engineering teams.

• MLE III: In-depth knowledge of ML, computer vision, or biomedical AI, with significant contributions through publications, open-source projects, or products.

• MLE III: Mastery of ML frameworks, software engineering best practices, and deployment pipelines.

• MLE III: Proficient in leading end-to-end projects, mentoring others, and determining technical direction.

• MLE III: Experience linking technical enhancements to business or clinical outcomes.

• MLE III: Strong history of contributions to scientific strategy, including abstracts, manuscripts, and conference presentations.
