This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• Evaluate detection data, including customer feedback, to identify areas for enhancement in machine learning models.
• Execute tasks that improve the management of false positive detections.
• Investigate binary files to ascertain their authenticity.
• Assess existing product detections to confirm they meet company standards.
• Address internal inquiries and concerns related to customer threat detections.
• Familiarity and comprehension of various types and functionalities of malware.
• Experience in reverse engineering malware or understanding malware operations.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, particularly Python.
• Basic understanding of binary file attributes, such as imports, exports, and packers.
• Capability to exhibit practical knowledge of research and analytical methods.
• General awareness of threat and risk management, as well as threat and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of different operating systems.
• Ability to deconstruct complex problems into manageable components.
• Experience in a security operations center or a comparable environment handling incidents (preferred).
• In-depth understanding of Windows OS internals and the Windows API (preferred).
• Familiarity with MacOS and/or Linux systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of tools utilized in targeted and criminal cyber intrusions (preferred).
• Background in exploit and vulnerability analysis (preferred).
• Proficiency in a range of programming languages, including C, C++, Java, and assembly (preferred).
• Experience with machine learning-based threat detections (preferred).
