M&A Origination Associate – Latin America

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

• Identify, qualify, and cultivate relationships with owners of sustainable small and mid-sized enterprises.

• Perform market research and outreach to prospective business owners.

• Maintain accurate CRM records of contacts and their statuses.

• Evaluate opportunities and prepare summaries for the investment team.

⛳️ Requirements

• We are seeking an M&A Origination Associate in Latin America to identify, qualify, and develop relationships with owners of sustainable small and mid-sized enterprises.

• Create sector and geography-specific target lists utilizing company databases, public records, industry directories, and original research.

• Identify owners and decision-makers, verify contact details, and ensure accurate CRM records.

• Execute thoughtful outbound sequences through email, LinkedIn, and phone without depending on generic mass outreach.

• Conduct initial calls with owners to gain insights into their motivations, succession plans, business quality, and timing.

• Prepare succinct company summaries and present qualified opportunities to the investment team.

• Monitor response, meeting, qualification, and conversion rates; enhance messaging and channels on a weekly basis.

🏝️ Benefits

• Based in Latin America and fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in M&A sourcing, search funds, private equity, investment banking, B2B sales, recruiting, or research-intensive outbound work.

• Strong written communication skills, diligent research habits, and confidence in speaking with business owners.

• Excellent proficiency with spreadsheets and CRM systems.

• Experience with tools such as PitchBook, Capital IQ, Grata, Apollo, Clay, HubSpot, Affinity, or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with lower-middle-market acquisitions, search funds, or founder succession.
