This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review incoming documents from borrowers to identify any missing items.
• Document updates in the system of record and upload borrower documentation into Tempo/EDMS.
• Generate letters informing borrowers of necessary outstanding documents.
• Communicate file statuses with Underwriting, Mediations, Litigation, Foreclosure, and SPOC teams.
• Assess files with upcoming foreclosure sale dates for underwriting readiness.
• Verify the accuracy of daily reports and completed tasks.
• Respond to daily emails and Comtags in a professional and accurate manner.
• Track, sort, open, digitally combine, and perform quality checks on incoming email and fax packages.
• Identify the correct borrower loan numbers and cross-reference borrower information in LoanServ and Account Connect.
• Load, categorize, and index document images in the EDMS.
• Create CIT flags in LoanServ to alert business units of document uploads.
• Assist in document disposition processes.
• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
• Execute other related duties as assigned.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Loss Mitigation Document Specialist I, or 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Some college education, an associate degree, or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of various file formats.
• Familiarity with mortgage documents is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of financial documents.
• Experience with processing tasks.
• Ability to read business journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Capability to present information and respond to inquiries.
• Competence in performing basic mathematical operations.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding and follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
• Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information.
• Basic interpersonal skills and tactfulness.
• Ability to sit frequently, and occasionally stand, walk, use hands, reach, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
