This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve on-site as a vital member of MSC Project Teams tasked with overseeing overhauls globally.
• Oversee all elements of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) during a ship’s overhaul, aligning with our National objectives.
• Supervise MSC/Government Monitoring functions ensuring the shipyard adheres to Work Item 015, the Work Specification Package for MSC vessels in overhaul.
• Act as the representative for the onsite MSC Government Contracting Officer regarding the shipyard's adherence to these policies, practices, and procedures.
• Manage all facets of Government Furnished Material; supervise shipyard warehouse personnel to ensure accurate recording of receipt, issuance, and movement of materials to support ongoing work.
• Oversee the ship’s configuration database, managing the overall configuration status while the ship is undergoing overhaul.
• Create and update the ship’s configuration records based on equipment additions, deletions, and changes specified in the shipyard’s Work Specification Package.
• Develop support for equipment unique to the Navy.
• Perform comparative analyses to identify configuration deficiencies and implement updates for correction.
• Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance.
• A valid US Passport is required.
• Typically holds a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience, or has a minimum of 12 years of related, equivalent work experience.
• Proven knowledge, expertise, and relevant experience in fleet sustainment logistics support services for fleet vessels of the MSC, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, or commercial operating companies.
• Relevant experience in the utilization, maintenance, and development of ship configuration records and baseline hierarchical relationships.
• Familiarity with Navy or MSC databases and systems such as CLIP, CMLS, ShipCLIP, WinMASP, NTCSS, CDMD-OA, SCLSIS, MERLIN, or IHS Haystack.
• Relevant experience in Marine engineering system functionality, components, and related ILS elements to facilitate planned/unplanned maintenance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the DLA Logistics/Supply system.
• Prior shipboard experience is essential.
• Highly skilled in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit to climb ladders to navigate between various equipment/components on board the ship and carry small packages (weighing less than 20 lbs) when necessary.
