Localization Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Delivers a comprehensive array of engineering and technical services for large and/or intricate projects to analyze and prepare files, promoting efficient and high-quality translations and implementation in the client’s environment.

• Utilizes advanced technical knowledge to guarantee the highest standards of quality and profitability on large and/or complex projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory, preferably in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Programming, Computer Science, or related fields.

• Prior experience in Localization Engineering is essential.

• Previous experience that equips the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position (equivalent to 5 years).

• Experience with various file formats, including Json, Resx, Vtt, HTML, XML (all types of XML from different systems), Madcap Flare, Dita, Articulate, mp4, Captivate, etc. is required.

• Familiarity with CAT/TMS tools, such as Wordbee, SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, Memsource/Phrase, XTM, etc. is required.

• Proven experience in troubleshooting localization and translation projects throughout their entire lifecycle is required.

• Experience with Content Management Systems (Tridion, ST4) is preferred.

• Certification in localization engineering or related fields is preferred.
