Loan Quality Control Specialist, Underwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in the quality review of mortgages to ensure that vendor underwriting practices align with BMO's standards.

• Perform tasks and audit files to guarantee prompt, precise, and effective service delivery.

• Maintain consistent, high-quality practices and work to achieve business objectives.

• Investigate the root causes of any errors identified during underwriting to facilitate effective communication and coaching.

• Suggest innovative solutions and approach problems with creativity.

• Primarily operate independently but may take on broader responsibilities or tasks as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally, 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is expected.

• A post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Experience in underwriting residential mortgages is necessary.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is essential.

• Advanced verbal and written communication skills in both English and French are required.

• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities are essential.

• In-depth analytical and problem-solving capabilities are needed.
