Linguist – Mongolian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mongolia.

📋 Description

• Translate materials between English and Mongolian while maintaining cultural sensitivity and clarity.

• Edit and enhance language content for precision, tone, and contextual relevance across various digital platforms.

• Implement current language standards, usage trends, and best practices.

• Assess and deliver structured feedback to enhance the quality of language models.

• Collaborate with Production and interdisciplinary teams to adapt content for Mongolian-speaking audiences.

• Assist in content creation, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.

• Innovatively modify source text beyond literal translation when transcreation is necessary.

• Undertake specialized-domain assessments when requested.

• Fulfill onboarding requirements, including an application form and payment arrangements after selection.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Mongolian with the ability to translate between English and Mongolian.

• A degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a degree in another discipline along with 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• Capability to adhere strictly to terminology and reference materials.

• Dependable availability and dedication to timely delivery.

• Most responsibilities necessitate a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.

• An updated CV/resume in English is required.

• Ability to complete a domain-specific assessment if necessary.

• Must be residing in Mongolia for this remote position.

• Contractors are accountable for their own tax responsibilities.

• Contractors cannot be located in regions subject to international embargoes or sanctions.
