Linguist – German to Norwegian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Norway, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Translate content from German into the target language, ensuring cultural nuances and clarity are maintained.

• Edit and enhance language content for precision, tone, and contextual appropriateness across various digital platforms.

• Implement current language standards, usage trends, and best practices.

• Assess and offer structured feedback to elevate the quality of the language model.

• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for markets in the target language.

• Assist in content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.

• Creatively modify text beyond the source material when transcreation is necessary.

• Conduct domain-specific testing as required and complete the onboarding and payment setup processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in the target language(s).

• A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, or a graduate degree in a different field along with 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, or 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• Ability to meticulously adhere to terminology and reference materials.

• An updated CV/resume in English.

• Reliable availability and commitment; most tasks necessitate a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.

• Must adhere to applicable geographic restrictions and take responsibility for personal tax obligations.
